We found something interesting while playing CTF on Sunday. If you have a see through surface in a map (like a window), and two players stand either side of the it, and one player fires a rocket the other player wont see a rocket trail. They will still see the projectile but not the trail. You can see what I mean in the screenshots below.

G()^t has released the client files for his upcoming mod for Kingpin called Codmod.
It is a modern warfare mod that is still a work in progress.
I don't know a great deal about the mod but it looks like it has new models, sounds, skins etc. It also looks to feature drones :)
You can download the Codmod client files from here.
Just extract all files to your Kingpin folder.

G()^t said he will be putting up a Codmod server so keep an eye out for that :)
Here is a video where someone prank calls a fast food chicken restaurant using Kingpin taunts. The guy on the phone handles it with good humour.

I have added the Bloodyborg death match map to our maps archive. I assume it was made by {GT}Bloody.
It's a medium to large map with a failry simple layout. It uses custom textures which are to give it the feeling of a Borg ship, I guess, from the Star Trek universe.

Just extract all files to your kingpin folder.
By the way, we also host a skin pack of Star Trek characters. The pack contains seven skins for the thug, bitch and Anthea models. There is Picard and Giordi, from Next Generation and Janeway, Tuvok, Harry Kim and 7of9 from Voyager. There is also a thug skin of a Borg drone, who are one of the main enemies in Star Trek. The pack also contains a readme with details of all the skins, how to install them and how to load them.

The 7of9 skin is for the Anthea model so if you don't already have the model you can download the model from here.
Just extract the Anthea files to your kingpin/main/players folder.

Jailhouse Frag is a small death match map that {GT}Knight converted from the fabulous Quake 2 Chaos mod. It is a small Quake 2 style map that uses Quake 3 textures. It has ample weapons and items and a nice tight layout.

I have added the Grovev2 Hitmen map to our map archive.
Grovev2 is a small to medium sized, multi level, Hitmen map. It's a good example of a Hitmen map. It has ample armour and cooling mods but it doesn't feature any pistol mods.

Acc has now released beta5 of his Build Map Converter utility program which allows you to convert Build Games' maps to Kingpin. Games include Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior and Blood etc.
New to beta5 is:-
- Added support for Blood's RFF files version 2 (demo) and 3 (retail)
- Added texture conversion to WAL (Quake 2), MIP, WAD2 (Quake 1), and WAD3 (Half-Life)
- Better support for Quake 1 map export
